A non-regulatory or diciplinary Association formed to encourage co-operation between Will Writers, Solicitors and Probate Consultants.
The Association aims and objectives are:
To raise Professional Standards within the Will Writing Sector
To provide a source of information for members of the Association
To completely disassociate the Association from any revenue generating activities with the general public
To limit membership to persons and organisations that have met and are committed to maintaining the highest Professional Standards.
Members should:
Provide clients with details in advance of their basis of charging and work on a fixed fee basis if appropriate.
Maintain cofidentiality, act in their client's best interest and treat them with dignity and respect.
Provide their clients with details of their terms of business and professional indemnity insurance upon request.
Have a friendly and speedy procedure for dealing with complaints.
